ABOUT

I am a Mexican engineer living in Canada. I studied Engineering in Telecommunications and Electronics at Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico City. After graduation in 2016, I started working with Citi Group in different areas.

Above the most relevant areas were Robotic Process Automation, where we created bots using Automation Anywhere to handle tedious and repetitive tasks.

​

The other area of relevance was Data and Analytics where I worked with a team as a Machine Learning engineer, our projects consisted mostly on deploying ML models that the business team created to our datalake using Hadoop and Spark. We worked on a couple of models for fraud prevention, credit initiation, and risk management.

Currently, I am a full-time student at the University of Ottawa. My master's is in Data Science with a concentration in artificial intelligence. And I am focusing my research on Generative Adversarial Networks for music production, and Recurrent Neural Networks/Deep Neural Networks for time prediction in imbalanced datasets.

I am a passionate man that enjoys playing the piano and doing landscape photography.
